Historical Note:

The MiG-29 is a twin-engine supersonic fourth generation air superiority jet fighter developed in the Soviet Union in the 1970’s. The aircraft entered service with the Soviet Air Force in 1983 and still is in use with them as well as equipping over twenty four other countries over the years. The NATO designation for the MiG-29 is Fulcrum and it was designed to counter the American F-16 and F-18. The MiG-29 was first seen in the West in 1986. The MiG-29 (9-13) is designated the Fulcrum C.

Any Ukrainian MiG-29 overhauled since 2012 has been given a digital camo paint scheme that makes each paint scheme unique, no two aircraft are painted the exact same. Prior to 2014 MiG-29 #57 had been painted in a white/yellow scheme but in December 2014 the aircraft was overhauled and received the new digital scheme. The paint scheme includes a huge Ukrainian national emblem Trizub (Trident) on top of its spine.

    Recently purchased this MiG-29 during the Memorial Day Sale. Being an international order, the product was delivered without a scratch! Aiken's always does a great job of protecting the product for shipping. and being the seventh order with Aiken's I've never been disappointed. As for the model itself, the attention to detail is par for the course with Hobby Master. Very happy and proud to own a model of one of Ukraine's air space defenders!

    I'm the grateful collector in having a dozen-plus of the Hobby Master (HM) MiG-29 die-cast models in my collection. They are all great looking models with their own special schemes, but this one is really special. It sports a Digital Camo Paint Scheme that simply "Rocks the MiG-29" with the Ukrainian Air Force. Seeing the model in person as soon as I opened the box was spectacular, it exceeded all my expectations! HM has once again done an amazing job in my opinion, producing their most excellent MiG-29 yet. HM has a couple of mission statements on the back of each model box, depending on the box. "World's Best Military Die-cast Models" and "Making Your Dream Die-cast Come True" - Lip Service is cheap unless you can back-it up and they're not kidding about being the best in the business.

    And Aiken's Airplanes made this model available at a great discounted price in celebration of the 2022 Christmas Holiday Season, for their customers to purchase. They have been doing a superb job for many years in supplying collectors and the collectorate, with so many different types of die-cast models. Merry Christmas to Dave and his staff, and thanks for all they do in getting it right from start to delivery, of what collectors are looking to buy!
