HOBBY MASTER AIR POWER SERIES

The Douglas SBD Dauntless was a naval dive bomber made by Douglas during World War II. The SBD was the United States Navy's main dive bomber from mid-1940 until late 1943, when it was supplanted, although not entirely replaced, by the SB2C Helldiver.

  1. A Strikingly Beautiful Aircraft 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Oct 2016

This aircraft must be seen to be appreciated. Resplendent in Royal New Zealand Navy colors, its dark and medium blue colors show great detail not found in any 1/72 of its type. With a sing arm cradle that can be put in a pre-launch cradle, under-wing radio antennas, deployed dive brakes, and to top it off some nose art and some interesting history, While many agree Corgi owns the 1/72 scale in the market place, they have just been dive-bombed seriously.
