Historical Note:

Israeli Air Force "Heyl Ha'Avir". The T-6 Texan was a single-engine advanced trainer aircraft designed by North American Aviation, used to train fighter pilots of the United States Army Air Forces, United States Navy, Royal Air Force and other air forces of the British Commonwealth during World War II. The T-6 is known by a variety of designations depending on the model and operating air force. The USAAC called it the "AT-6", the US Navy, the "SNJ", and British Commonwealth air forces, the Harvard. It remains a popular warbird aircraft.

  1. Great Little Model to Begin a Collection With. 4 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Jul 2014

This Hobby Master model is a very nice replica of a North American T-6/SNJ trainer. The definition and rendering of the parts is more than satisfactory for a 1/72 scale product. Both the canopy and landing gear are "positionable" so that the model can be displayed with the former open or closed, and the latter up or down. I particularly like the open canopy option, because there's some nice detail in the cockpit that can't, otherwise, be seen. About the only negative to the model is that it doesn't have as thorough an application of stenciling as some of the earlier HM efforts with the "Texan" That's why I gave the model only a four-star rating.
