WINGS OF TEXACO #7 FORD TRI-MOTOR
Finally here, this years release, #7, is a two plane set that can be purchased individually. This aircraft is a combined Ertl/Racing Champions airplane that is a replica of the first aircraft used in the Texaco Corporate Fleet! Aircraft number on the wing is "3443", it has the Texaco logs underneath both wings as well as on top of both wings and both sides of the fuselage, and has "Ertl Collectibles" underneath the fuselage with the "Issue #7 1619RA" following. This is a new tooling and die cast for this airplane. For those of you familiar with the two makes(Spec Cast and Ertl), this is a very similar to the original Ertl casting but adds a hidden bank feature with the coin insertion made underneath the cockpit overhead and the removal made with an attached key into a hatch underneath the fuselage. The wing span measures over 12 inches. We have very few of these airplanes and they have already started heading up in price. It looks like this release will do very well as most of the Texaco have.
