The Hawker Hunter had 1,972 planes produced in its production run. Its great war capabilities as well as its easy flying nature have given its pilots the memory of a most joyous plane to fly. Not surprisingly, some 20% of these Hawker Hunters are still being flown decades after its introduction.

The Hunter flew at a maximum speed of 699 m.p.h. It was armed with four 30-mm cannons and four underwing pylons carrying 1000 lbs. bombs inboard and 500 lbs. bombs outboard.
