Known to many as the “superfortress”, this WWII bomber brought an end to the war on the Pacific front with its two atomic raids. The B-29 was armed with two 12.7-mm machine guns in each of four remotely controlled power-operated turrets, and a varied armament in the tail turret. With such a large array of weaponry, it is no wonder that a total of 4000 of these planes were built.
