Intended as a long range, high altitude bomber, this kinked, delta shaped plane was used instead as a low level penetration bomber and reconnaissance aircraft. With its four Rolls-Royce Olympus 301 turbojets, the plane was able to cruise at 625 m.p.h. It carried and delivered 47,198 lbs. of bombs per sortie during the 1982 Falklands conflict.
