The Typhoon served the Allied Armies in WWII. This low level bomber helped the Allies to victory on D-Day by conducting bombing runs on German communications installations and coastal shipping lanes. The plane flew at 405 mph, achieved by its 2,180 hp engine. It carried four 20-mm cannon in the wings, and eight 60 lb. rocket projectiles or two 1000 lb. bombs.
