1983 saw the first MIG 29 as the replacement for MIG 21’s. Information on the MIG 29 became available in 1986 and it is viewed as a sort of FA/18 Hornet counterpart. The agile and fast MIG 29 features a 45° swept wing, no doubt helping its maneuverability. The MIG 29B is a two seat version capable of speeds to 1530 mph (Mach 2.46). MIG 29’s carry 6 air to air missiles and 30 mm cannon as weapons. The 29B is used for ground to ground and air combat.
