The BF109E was a German single seat fighter used during the WWII era. The 109E was the first version to enter large scale production. It featured a 1,100 hp Daimler-Benz engine which replaced the older 650 hp Rolls-Royce engine. With a max speed of 400 mph, 38,000 ft ceiling and a range of 450 miles, these fighters were an early problem for the British. BF109E was armed with two 13 mm machine guns and three 20 mm MG 151 cannons.
