  2. Dassault Mirage F1 5 Star Review

This is a terrific model. It's diecast and heavy for its size. I'm searching for the perfect display spot.

The packing within the mailing box and that inside the model's box, was more than adequate to protect the it during shipping.

I took it out of the box to inspect it, and the Pitot tube fell off. When I have the time, I'll dig out my trusty magnifier and replace it on the fuselage.

Then, when I attempted to return it to its box, I had difficulty getting the cardboard sleeve to fit into the outer box. I tried it every way possible, but couldn't find which way would allow it to just slide into the box. I ended up tearing the outer box trying to finish the packing, then mending it with Scotch tape.

Now, unless the Pitot tube broke off instead of slipping out of a hole in the fuselage, this incident is minor and doesn't detract from my rating above. If, however, it broke off, I'll be contacting the seller. I fully expect them to make it right; in the event they don't, I'll be leaving additional feedback here.

The torn box is also minor for me.
