Historical Note: The Heinkel He 162 was the 2nd jet engined fighter to be fielded by the Luftwaffe in WWII. Rival to the Me 262, it was the fastest of the first generation of Axis & Allied jets. Much of the plane was made of wood as metal was in short supply at this time.
