Historical note: Chester Greenwood started Fred Greenwood & Son livestock removal company in 1929 in Aire Valley village of Esholt – the filming location of Emmerdale Farm from 1976 until 1996. With previous generations operating a one-truck policy the firm's current status is a product of Chester's great grandson Stanley who now owns the business and operates a fleet of 12 vehicles including 5 rigids and 7 artics. The company handles a variety of livestock from pigs, cattle and sheep and there trademark four-deck trailer can be seen working all over the UK. Greenwoods prides itself on having a loyal and longstanding team which includes driver Colin Woods who has been with the 83 year old company for over 30 years.
