Historical note: The Airco DH4 was flown by American fighter pilots overseas from 1918 and here at home by defense squadrons over the North Sea. Among many notable achievements, the DH4 was flown by Major Leckie and Major Cadbury when they shot down the infamous German Airship, Zeppelin L70. This streamlined bomber is a gem in the eyes of aircraft collectors because it is widely regarded as the finest single-engined bomber of World War 1.
