Historical Note:    Her destruction became a rallying cry for the United States in World War II. This wooden model -- handcrafted as a memorial to the crew of the U.S.S. Arizona -- comes with an emotionally charged nameplate personally hand-signed by four of the survivors...affixed to the custom-designed, polished hardwood base. The ship itself is re-created to perfection, based upon actual military photographs of the Arizona. Details include: pivoting gun turrets, seaplanes and catapults, lifeboats and rafts...exactly as it was on the infamous morning of December 7, 1941. Includes a collector portfolio containing a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, event summary and survivor biographies. In tribute to the crew members who made the ultimate sacrifice, only 1,177 models will be made
