HISTORICAL NOTE:    The U.K. Challenger II is the most advanced battle tank in the British arsenal. The hull and chassis are based upon the Challenger I, but the Challenger II incorporates over 150 improvements for better reliability, lethality, and maintainability. The Challenger proved highly effective in Operation Iraqi Freedom as it engaged a much inferior Iraqi Army.
