The Forces of Valor... these are the men that fought the battles. They came from every nation and every creed to battle on their countries behalf. Today’s fighting forces are similar to those of the past. The makeup of men, now joined by women, remains basically the same. Acts of heroism, keen determination, and sheer willpower define today’s Forces of Valor…
Forces of Valor vehicles and aircraft feature true-to-life detail with lots to discover and explore… tank tracks that really roll along their independent suspension… hatches & access ports that reveal internal compartments… turrets & gun barrels that maneuver just like they did in battle… all these exacting details bring these combat proven machines to life!
Introduced to the US arsenal in 1965, the M60 Patton Series battle Series tank has seen many revisions, upgrades and improvements during the 30+ years of combat service. The M60A1 added a reactive armor to improve survivability against new shaped charged missile shells. Adopted by the US Marines, the M60A1 with Reactive Armor array proved effective, reliable, and safe during Operation Desert Storm. The externally mounted armor, which was secured & bolted off away from the main armor, provided the necessary reactive repellant to newer and more sophisticated enemy weapons. These improvments gave the M60A1 the necessary protection to prove highly effective during front line operations during the Gulf War.
