This powerhouse, also known as the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, was developed to be a highly mobile  armed personal carrier that could keep pace with the awesome General Dynamics Land Systems M1A1 Abrams battle tank. During Operation Desert Storm, the M2 demonstrated the high power of mobility, intense firepower, and crew protection capabilities. External reactive armor plates were added to the front and sides to increase crew survivability during heavy combat conditions. The awesome 600hp turbo charged diesel deftly maintained superior mobility even with the increased weight in all the battlefield scenarios of the Gulf War.
