About the Fw190D-9:
The Fw190D-9 was an improved version of the Fw190A series aircraft. Powered by a
Junkers Jumo inverted V-12 engine housed in a lengthened fuselage, the Fw190D-9
was given the superiority over its Allied counterparts at that time. This
particular Fw190D-9 was named "Papagei Staffel" and flown by a German
pilot Staffelkapitän Hauptmann Waldemer Wübke during its service.
