GERMAN PARATROOPER - 6 PC. SET
FORWARD MARCH - SPECIAL FORCES
Available: SEP 2007
In order to keep its existence secret, the first German airborne division was named Flieger (flier) Division in the series of Luftwaffe Divisions that controlled air assets rather than ground troops. The division was later recognized to start a series of airborne divisions. Though named Fallschirmjager (paratrooper) Divisions, most were not actually trained for airdrops, and in practice most operated as ordinary infantry throughout their existence.

Historical Note: The Special Forces carry out assignments involving counter-terrorism, reconnaissance and unconventional warfare. With these types of missions, it is imperative the groups are highly trained and armed. That is why the selection process is rigorous, and the training can last for over two years for many of the Special Forces members. There are some missions that require even further training. Here Corgi is proud to honor the Special Forces with both 54-mm individual figures and 30-mm six-piece sets.
