SEAGRAVE 70TH SEMI-ENCLOSED FIRETRUCK
Seagrave 70th Anniversary Semi-enclosed Pumper - Kentland, MD
Corgi's "Heroes Under Fire" Premier Edition die-cast replica!
Located just minutes from Washington, DC, this Kentland, Maryland, rural community has relied on its volunteer fire department since 1951, when Bob Baeschlin and John Wilding took it upon themselves to establish a fire-protection unit.
Over the next 50 years, Kentland 33 (it was the 33rd fire department established in Prince George's County)became the busiest volunteer fire department in history. Enduring the financial and bureaucratic challenges that accompany any volunteer operations, the department has grown along with the surrounding area. The Seagrave 70th Anniversary semi-enclosed pumper was one of two purchased in the 1960s in response to this expansion.
