The 301st Heavy Tank (Remote Control) Battalion was the last-ever newly formed PzKpfw VI Tiger Ausf E unit.Sent to the Western Front in November 1944, as an ordinary Tiger unit, 27 of the initial 31 Tigers were left by the beginning of the Battle of the Bulge and 19 were sitll operational by January 15, 1945.
