Historical Note:    Originally built as a C-47A Skytrain for the USAF, this aircraft later became a Dakota III of the Royal Canadian Air Force! In the 60's and 70's it flew from Prestwick and West Freugh and in 1979 it was transferred to RAE Farnborough where it was given the name "Portpatrick Princess", serial number Za947. It became a member of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Coningsby in 1993!
