XB812 was one of the Sabres passed on to the Italian Air Force, with whom it served as MM19666, until it became part an exchange deal for a Spitfire that The Fighter Collection at Duxford arranged with the RAF Museum. TFC had located this original RAF Sabre in Italy and brought it back to Duxford in 1993, where it was fully restored to its original RAF colours and markings as XB812 coded ‘U’ of No.93 Squadron, based at Jever in Germany during 1954-55. It is currently on display in the RAF Museum at Hendon, London.
