Air Vice Marshal James Edgar "Johnnie" Johnson was an RAF pilot who during World War II shot down 38 Luftwaffe aircraft, thus becoming the British flying ace with the most "kills" during the war. This aircraft is also famous as the last in which he scored a kill on 27th September 1944.
