Dave;

Dave, in response to your first e-mail, I want the Army ch-34.

The Armour request for a/c models should include the following at some

date in the future:

Douglas Dauntless SBD

Hawker Hurricane

Spitfire

Hawker Tempest

Hawker Typhoon

B-24 Liberator

Hellcat

Wildcat

B-29 Superfortress

F105 thunder chief

P-47 Thunderbolt

B-26 Martin Maurader

A-20 Havoc

As you may have noticed, my interest lies mostley with WW2 a/c- I just

think they have the most appeal compared to the jet fighter except for

the F-4 Phantom and the F-105 Thunderchief

Take care-sell a lot of airplanes!

Dave

In response to your e-mail on new Armour planes.Think your list is agood one,a couple of my suggestions would be a S B D Douglas Dauntless, a Marine Corps lockheed KC-130f 1960s era.The B-25 Mitchell i think should be Jimmy Doolittles Tokyo Raider plane.I have an art print and abook plate autographed by Doolittle, beleive there is still a lot of interest in him ,and this plane would be a good seller.

Dave,

I jumped the gun, I just received the email referencing the future Armour planes and the Marushin aircraft. Thanks for the info.
My votes for future Armour Planes (and suggested markings) are:

1. B-25 (marked as a USMC PBJ or with USAAC 345 BG markings)
2. Hellcat (marked as a USMC nightfighter or recon plane)
3. Huey (marked as a USMC gunship)

If they plan to release additional Corsairs, a flat black Marine nightfighter from the Korean War would be nice.

Thanks,

Steve

Dave,

My preferences for are as follows:

SR-71 Blackbird
A-10 Warthog
Huey Helicopter
B-17 Flying Fortress
B-25 Mitchell
Russian Mig......All of them
Sukhoi-Su-15 Flagon
Sopwith Camel
Spirit of St. Louis

I would also like to see Armour produce in 1/48 all active aircraft in the United States inventory including possibly battleship and aircraft carriers in 1/500 or some appropriate size. Maybe even Army vehicles like transports.

Sincerely,

Steven

Hello Dave, that's a pretty good update, however, the Mitsubishi A5M4 "CLAUDE" and the Aichi D3A1 "VAL" i didn't see listed. please update what planes i am waiting for you to get in stock. thank you. DFG

>Hellcat
Ryan Spirit of St Louis
Snipe SPAD ...Rickenbacker
>JN-4 Jenny

>Blackbird A-10 Warthog
Huey Helicopter

But, I"d prefer to see things like a J-3 Cub, a Navion Rangemaster, Swift, Champ, Hatz, Pietenpol, Waco F2...things we see at the antique fly-ins and things we have owned or wish to own in the future. That's what models are about...dreams made real in miniature as a place from which to grow.

Hello Dave,

Exciting news on your message! Thanks.

For the Armour 2001 issues I would select, in preferential order, the B-17, B-25 and Hell Cat. I would also suggest the B-24 right in there with the B-17 as well as the A-20 and B-26 somwhere between the top and bottom. I realize that there is just so much that they can do but If they do two WWII aircraft, I'd say the B-17 and B-24. Us old guys can't wait too long.

Thanks for the opportunity to make an input.

Best regards,

Paul

those planes from armour.

Thanks for the mail. 'Just for input purposes, my personal militaryinterest would be a Grumman F9F Panther/Cougar offering. In addition, as we discussed before, any and all general aviation subjects. That would be a first! Thanks for the opportunity...

Dave thanks for the update I was thinking about Aiken's Airplanes this

morning enroute to work as this morning prior to work our little 20 month

old was fascinated with a die cast Grumman Goose I had bought during a

flight from Calgary to Great Falls Montana and back. I wll probably visit

your web site and place an order soon ( FW 190s and Me 109s). I am going to

have to order another Grumman goose from you as the one the 20 month old was

holding is a keepsake that belonds to his older brother.

Dave, Does anyone make die cast De Havilland Mosquitos, Spitfires (1/48 th

scale) or Harvards, Fleet Finches, Tiger Moths or Chipmunks? Also does

anyone make Belriots, Antoinettes, and or Avro Triplanes (the type of planes

that were featured in the Magnificant Men in Their Flying Machines). I have

heard that a company named Impact ( I believe no longer in existence) in the

1960s made plastic models of the planes featured in themovie but was

wondering if anyone made die cast replicas of the pre WWI flying machines.

Again Thanks for the update.

Cheers Tom

Thank you for placing me on your mailing list.

As I am a WWII enthusiast, I will rank the possible

Armour 2001 series as:

1. Mitsubishi A6M Zero

2. Hellcat

3. B-17 Flying Fortress

4. B-25 Mitchell

5. Sopwith Camel or Snipe

6. Spad Rickenbacker

7. Russian Mig 17F , 21, 25

8. Sukhoi SU-15 Flagon

9. A10 Warthog

The remaining in any order (as they are of little

interest to me personally).

I trust that you'll have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Dave

Wow...I didn't realize that the Armour company was taking suggestions for
their lineups. You have a nice list there but I have a few other ideas that
I wanted to pass along. Also, I was curious if you have a current product
list of all the available armour aircraft, etc. I think mine might be a
little out of date.

My suggestions:

MV-22 Osprey
F-22 Raptor
IF-16D ( Israeli F-16D with missionized dorsal spine)
French Rafale
F-111 Aardvark
EF-111 Raven

Please let me know what you think of my suggestions...also, is this just for
1:48 scale or are these suggestions for 1:100 scale as well. Thanks.

Cheers

Andy

Hi Dave,

You sent me an email stating that Amour is requesting models of

airplanes that we would like to see manufactured. I would like to

request a die cast model of a Ryan PT-22. You sent me some suggestions

where to look for one, but I have not been able to find one. Maybe this

is my opportunity to get one. Hope so. Let me know how things go.

Thank you,

dennis

Hi Dave,

In regards to the list of planes that Armor is coming out with, two very important warplanes that should be included are the British Spitfire and short range Mosquito bomber. You might want to add those to your list.

Thanks,

Ryan Spirit of St Louis (only because I am a airplane designer at Ryan Aeronautical in San Diego)

and my favorites the Spitfire and Bearcat.

Thanks for the information on upcoming products. I appreciate your staying

in contact.

My votes for new models are for none on your suggested list. My biased

votes are for some of the earlier jet fighters and trainers: F-86, F-100D,

T-38 and the A1E and AT-28 in Vietnam combat trim. There are no model

F-100D's available, and it was a significant aircraft in its time (I was in

one of the first F-100 squadron into South Vietnam in 1965), and I sure

would like to have one in my collection.

Again, thank you for the product update. Best wishes in expanding your

product offering!

Dave,

Please suggest the following to your guy at Armour.

1)  Please produce the B-25.

2)  Please improve quality control, (and not necessarily in this order).

Thanks for allowing the input.  If a B-25 came through I do believe I would get one.

Take care,

Well, how about a few more! Just a few!! One other plane I'd like to add is the P-3 Orion!

Thanks Guy!

Dave, Thanks for the update.  How about the PBY, Navy, so famous in WWII in the Pacific campaign.  Is there any of your suppliers that have contemplated that aircraft?   Thanks  Jim

Thanks for the offer for airplane suggestions.

The one I keep looking for, but have only seen in plastic is the Douglas Dauntless Dive Bomber.  It's not a real pretty or sexy plane, but it turned the tide of the Battle of Midway, sinking some 4 Japanese Carriers and killing most of their Navy's elite pilots.  The outcome of this battle was pivotal in the Pacific War (so I read!).

Another plane comes to mind is the AT 6 Texan, I believe it's called.  It was a trainer, and you see several of them at airshows which have been refurbished.  My father in law flew them in WWII.

thanks!

Hello Dave,

I have a few comments regarding the Armour Collections aircraft. I am the
proud owner of 10 AC aircraft. Granted these aircraft are quit detailed and
exhibit some true craftsmanship, however, AC falls short of being classed a
full detailed aircraft. I am speaking of the fixed landing gear position on
all the aircraft. It seems to me that if so much detail is already built in
to these models why not go the extra step and build the aircraft with
retractable wheels. I have the Sundowner F4 and was very impressed with
detail. The lack of retractable wheels on the beautiful model took some of
the novelty away.
Regarding the 2001 list of planes, here's my picks and suggestions,

A-10 Warthog
SR-71
B-25
MIG 21

the rest whenever produced. Would suggest the following for consideration,
Pilatus Porter (turbine version) on wheels and or floats.

P3 Orion
C-130H
C-185 on amphibian floats.
P-61 Black Widow
B1
DeHaveland Beaver, Otter and Twin Otter

Thanks for the time. I hope this helps.

Regards,
Mike

Hey Dave and Sally,

Hello Dave - Thanks for giving me the opportunity to vote on what we would like from Armour.

My first choice is not on your list and maybe it is already coming out - so here are my picks:

#1 - P47 Thunderbolt
#2 - JN-Jenny
#3 - B17 Flying Fortress
#4 - B-25 Mitchell
#5 - Mitsubishi A6M Zero
#6 - Hellcat
The others are ok but my real focus is WWII and older planes at this time.   My current focus is to get one each of all the fighters in WWII.
Some others that might be of interest are those we flew as trainers.
I would love to have a Cessna 150 - spent many training hours in one of these
Also a Piper Cub would be great
Again, thanks for the opportunity to participate.

Dave,

W.W.I or W.W.II or modern aircraft are not high on my list for  collection, so
therefore I cannot rank those listed.
But here is a list of airplanes which made important milestones in
aviation.

Laird Super Solution - winner of the first Bendix 1931
Gee Bee R1/R2 - winner of the Thompson 1932
Laird/Turner Meteor - winner of the Thompson 1938/1939
 Curtis Sparrowhawk - 1933
 Boeing F4B4 - 1934
Curtis R3c3 float plane - winner of the 1925 Scheiner cup

As you can see my preferences are somewhat different than most.

Hi Dave thanks for the input opportunity ref Armour. from a Brits point of view you yanks are "hogging" the scene again,
what about the good old 'Hurricane' in 1/48 no one, but no one, offers this Historic legendary aircraft and is basically the "forgotten fighter" of the Battle of Britain claiming more kills than its more glamourous counterpart the 'Spitfire' pilots such as Gp Captn Peter Townsend, Johnny Johnson, Stamford Tuck, and a good friend still alive today, Battle of Britain pilot Denis David DFC, have all written praise to this
great aircraft.
I have now stepped down from my soapbox to offer more considerations for future possibles.....
English Electric Lightning
Bristol Beaufighter
De Havilland Mosquito
Hawker Typhoon
De Havilland Sea Vixen
Hawker Hunter
Fairey firefly
Fairy Gannett
Gloster javelin
Supermarine Seafire
Gloster Meteor
Bristol Blenheim
Halifax Bomber
Avro Lancaster
Buccaneer (Brought back from History to take part as laser designator in the Gulf War)
SEPECAT Jaguar
Gloster Gladiator

Suggestions for the unusual
V1 Flying Bomb
ME262
So come on you lot! we did our bit for aviation and fighting the foe!! So we would appreciate some models to remember them.
Best regards
Malcolm

Bronco; Sikorsky Sea Stallion Helicopters; Navy C-117; Navy C-54; Navy

Intruder A-6; C-130 Spectre; X-1; X-15; B-29; Navy C-1A; Navy C-2 Hawkeye

and any Navy seaplanes (Catalinas, etc.).

All I could come up with off the top of my head. I hope things are going

well. Eagerly anticipating the arrival of the P-40 and P-38.

Thanks for asking for input.

'Just for input purposes, my personal military

interest would be a Grumman F9F Panther/Cougar offering. In addition, as

we discussed before, any and all general aviation subjects. That would be

a first!

'Just thought of another aircraft that I would liked to see modeled more

often, especially by the likes of someone like Spec-cast is the F-100 Super

Sabre.
