Manufactured by Boeing Aircraft Company, the B47 Stratojet was a medium-sized bomber plane with six jet engines. Designed to fly at high altitudes and subsonic speeds, the B47 Stratojet performed as the strategic bomber of the United States Air Force. The Boeing B47 heavy bombers were part of the Strategic Command Fleet, but never saw action as a bomber in 1950's. Supposedly, the bomber plane was intended to drop a nuclear weapon in Soviet Russia; however, the B47 was utilized in photo and weather reconnaissance missions instead. The Boeing B47 had three crews on board, and equipped with armaments of guns and nuclear bombs.
