BUNO 158413, Naval Air Station, Miramar, CA, 1992. The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is a carrier-capable attack aircraft designed for the United States Navy. The delta wing Skyhawk, powered by a single turbojet was designed and produced by Douglas Aircraft Company (later McDonnell Douglas). It was originally designated the A4D under the US Navy's pre-1962 designation system. Fifty years after the aircraft's first flight, and having played key roles in Vietnam, the Falklands and Yom Kippur wars, some of the nearly 3,000 Skyhawks produced remain in service with several air arms around the world, including active duty on a carrier.

This model airplane is so colorful and SO detailed! I love the blues and the size of the plane is great. It is cool knowing that there is a history that comes with it. It shipped fast, and safely too. I am such a fan of this, it is the new jewel of my collection!
