The A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American single-seat, twin-engine, straight-wing jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic for the United States Air Force to provide close air support (CAS) of ground forces by attacking tanks, armored vehicles, and other ground targets, with a limited air interdiction capability. It is the first U.S. Air Force aircraft designed exclusively for close air support.

This is a very detailed model with a very "substantial" feel. Great to look at and examine from all angles. Many delicate parts, so careful handling is advised. The canopy is packed separately and should be assembled after opening the box. As shown in the picture, the two rockets under the right wing and the one rocket under the left wing don't seem to be included with the model. A very faithful replica of a great plane.
