A final coat of clear lacquer protects the B757-200 Northwest model and gives it a glossy finish. The B757-200 Northwest model airplane comes with a handsome mahogany-based chrome pedestal, and to ensure that it is ready for delivery, it undergoes various stages of quality control before being placed in its box. The B757-200 Northwest model airplane is perfect as an addition to a growing collection or as an exquisite gift to a loved one.

Northwest Airlines is in the midst of a major long-haul fleet rewnewal program.  Part of this program was the introduction of a simplified new paint scheme and logo.  Northwest began operating reconfigured Boeing 757-200 aircraft for European flights for fewer passengers.

The first 757-200's maiden flight was on February 19, 1982.  The first delivery of 757-200 was on December 22, 1082 and was first put into service by the Eastern Airlines on January 1, 1983.

The Boeing 757-200 is a twin-engine short-to-medium-range jetliner.  It incorporates advanced technology for exceptional fuel efficiency, low noise levels, increased passenger comfort and over-all operating performance.  It incorporates high-bypass-ratio engines combined with te wing design, making it one of the quietest and most fuel efficient jetliner in the world.

The Boeing 757-200 is designed to carry 200 passengers in a typical mixed class configuration and can accommodate up to 228 passengers in charter service.  The flight deck pioneered the use of digital electronics and advanced displays offering increased reliability and advanced features.  The 757-200's interior is the same as the Next-Generation 737 family and this new interior was designed to upgrade the overall look of the passenger cabin.

There's a total of 1,019 Boeing 757 aircrafts still in service as of July 2007.
